Green Wedding
Hi everybody! Sarah Grace here to tell you my sister is getting married!! Woo Hoo! She and her former SO now feeantsy Brian are going to make it an official thang after being together like a hundred years. Of course, the jeep broke and they aint made of money, and were NOT planning anything fancy or costly anyway, something like a party in the back yard kind of celebration. I suggested a no gifts just bring a dish type invite, a byo (a) alcohol, (s) sleeping bag, [tent, air matress, pop up, etc.] if you plan to indulge much, and other than coming up with different dress ideas, (which green magic has not created yet) I am fresh out of green wedding party ideas. Any toss ins?

Hello fellow greenies! wack here, nice blogsite sis. The intro of GBC is great, as sarah says, i too have been on the green side of the fence for a long time. some of the things I do to be green include recycle, re-purposing and reusing lots of thrown away items. I do not shop retail. I compost. I am a dumpster diver. I make reusable grocery totes from tshirts and always use them, blankets from the scraps of those...rugs from old sheets. i compost the used catlitter and grow lavender to make pure essential oil for my sister to use in the making of some of her soap......wait, AHEM!!!!o Sarah! I don't see anything about your soaps! Greenies, I can sooooo vouch. she makes shampoo bars that i heart lots, full of good for you tea tree and goats milk soaps with lavender buds that does not irritate my psoriatic skin<<< (that looks funny) I have psoriasis and if you have even evil dry skin you can sooo relate. the only reason that matters is her soaps are ALL natchoorawl! NO chemicals, NO preservatives. the way it should be made. I trade and barter with my neighbors for landscape plants and flowers, save seeds and can veggies. We look forward to trying the green stuff you do and welcome new green ideas or even old greens! i just got back from the town recycle center where i took a green dive and came up with 6 more cartons for you sis <3. Still saving the bird and catfood bags. i need ideas!!! WE WANT YOU! .....to be green and tell us your green stuff!
ReplyDeleteGO GREEN!
Oh we are pathetic. Ok I am. I feel like I'm seeding my own bids in an online auction! Its ok. I effin love you, wack!! I really DO have a great dress idea. We vid talk soon! (heart heart lips thing)
ReplyDeleteOk, so i'm sitting at my 1924 white dressmaster sewing machine that i got from sarah as a top 3 bestest bday gifts ever and a pile of catfood and birdfood bags. the 20 to 30# size. they are made from a woven plastic mesh, very durable, colorful and i can't toss or take them to recycle pit...THEN i read where sarah said a garden hanging on the door or fence quote and hotdiggetydam! i am making a pattern with brown bags. think shoe pouches you hang on the closet door but wider and deeper. of course i will follow up when i get it figured out
ReplyDeleteLove being green myself! I would love it if they collectors picked up the recyling every week and the garbage every two weeks. One of the best things I did was to reorganize my driving. When I run errands or need to go the store I group things together. By doing this I cut back on not only on pollution from by Blazer (I need the suv for my home business) but I started saving $75.00 to $100.00 per month on gas money.
ReplyDeleteSarahs' soaps are the greatest. I've been using them for a couple of years and love them. Everything is natural and/or organic. Highly recommend them. You can get them at the Barr Street Farmers Market here in Fort Wayne, Indiana starting on July 10, 2010.
